Hondo ISD

OBR provided a comprehensive assessment and developed a strategic plan for additions and renovations to all Hondo ISD facilities.  The community-based approach led to the successful passage of the District’s 2015 bond referendum.  Major components of the  $34M program included a new Fine Arts facility, new CTE/Ag facility and new Competition Gym at Hondo High School.  A new Science Wing was added to McDowell Middle School.  Extensive renovations to Woolls & Meyer Elementary Schools were also completed.  A major challenge through the entire program was the occurrence of two significant hail storm events.  The storms prompted the replacement of virtually every roof in the district.  OBR coordinated the successful completion of those projects in concert with the bond program projects.
